Heroines with Heart: From the Daring Tales of Hayao Miyazaki aims to honor the strong female protagonists portrayed in his films. This film festival will relay feelings of empowerment and courage onto attendees by giving them tools they can use to succeed in life. Iconic silhouettes utilize a user’s imagination, and charming souvenirs will be available to take the magic home. The painterly aesthetic is inspired by Miyazaki’s artistic roots.

Objective
The film festival allows users to relate to Miyazaki’s courageous heroines, who have experienced daring journeys, by blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. The brand expands the capabilities of a person’s imagination. The festival will be the first of its kind to use a theater/mall building, using indoor and outdoor real estate to fully immerse the audience members.
